Ghoman Royal Punjabi Cup, 2025 Rules Sheet

Competitive Division(s)

  • Championship, A, and B Flights
  • All three flights are playing a GROSS (no handicap) two-man combined score total game against the field
  • The maximum score a player can have is Triple Bogey. Once an individual reaches their max score, they can pick up and move on to the next hole.
  • Each team will be given a scorecard upon their arrival, with only their two-man team on the card. Players must exchange score cards with the other team. Score cards must be signed by all 4 players. Failure to do so may lead to disqualification.
  • All score cards need to be handed in to the volunteers/club staff within 15 minutes of round completion.
  • All golfers must play by Golf Canada rules. If in doubt, play two balls or call Dr. Tariq Malik (416) 937-4042, Master Teaching Professional for the CGTF and International PGA.
  • There are no gimmes. Please putt everything out.
  • Championship flight will be playing from the BLUE TEES
  • A and B Flights will be playing from the WHITE TEES
  • All shots will be played from where it lies. There is no lift and clean anywhere

If a players shot lies in a red hazard, the player has two options

  1. The player can play the ball as it lies and canground their club to play their shot.
  2. The player can take a drop (penalty stroke) atthe entry point of the hazard with a two club distances relief, no closer to the hole.
    • A player cannot drop a ball inside of the hazard to play the shot

LOST BALL

  1. If a player loses a ball in an unmarked area - Theplayer must take a stroke and distance penalty.
    • Stroke and Distance: Player re-hits from theirprevious position while taking a penalty shot
    • A player cannot drop a ball near where the ballwas lost in an unmarked area.

ALL BALLS MUST BE HOLED OUT

  1. There are no gimmes to be had in this event, the ballmust be holed to complete a score

MAX SCORE

  1. The maximum score a player can have is Triple Bogey.Once an individual reaches their max score, they can pick up and move on to the next holeIf the twosome playing with you are not present (or have to leave), please drop back and play as a group of six with the foursome behind you. You also must call & text Dr. Tariq Malik (info below) and inform him or your team will be disqualified.
  2. If in doubt of a ruling, please play two balls and report the facts to the tournament official (Dr. Malik) after the round to determine proper score.

PLAY OFF (at the discretion of the organizers)

  1. The top two teams from each flight will qualify for a play off on the 9th hole of the scotch block golf Course.

Scramble Division(s)

Men’s and Mixed Scramble

  • This is a gross four person scramble against the field
  • After their round, each team has 15 MINUTES to submit and sign their scorecards to be counted for scoring.
    Otherwise, the team will be disqualified
  • Men will be playing the WHITE TEES
  • Women and players 14 and Under will be playing the RED TEES
  • Missing Player Rule: One player will hit two shots, alternating throughout the group after every shot.
  • There are no gimmes to be had in this event; the ball must be holed to complete a score
  • PLAY OFF (at the discretion of the organizers)
Please make sure you keep up with the group ahead of you and MAINTAIN PACE OF PLAY.

Scramble Division(s)

  • Men’s and Mixed Scramble
  • This is a GROSS 4 person scramble against the field
  • After their round, each team has 15 MINUTES to submit and sign their scorecards to be counted for scoring. Otherwise, the team will be DISQUALIFIED
  • The men will be playing the WHITE TEES
  • Women and players 14 and Under will be player the RED TEES
